As always, this July the troop traveled to Pennsylvania where we went to Camp Conestoga! We all had a lot of fun earning new merit badges and getting awards. It was a great week weather wise, it was beautiful most of the week and only rained a couple nights. We encountered some problems with other animals that called some of our tents home. It was an awesome week and everyone learned and had fun!
For the month of May we went white water rafting at River Expedition in West Virginia. Even though it was cold and rainy at some points we pulled through and had an amazing time! When we got there on Friday we set up camp in the rain and ordered pizza for dinner! On Saturday we got up and got ready for rafting the following afternoon. We had lunch on the water and played ducky wars out in the river. When we got back we hung out in the lodge there and went back to camp and roasted marshmellows. It was an amazing outing and we can't wait to go back next year!

As always, Troop 299 went on our anual Back to Basics outing this April. This was the first outing for all the new scouts that have just joined. The weekend was great! We had great weather at Camp Falling Rock. All of the scouts had a chance to learn some new skills including starting fires, knot tying, and some basic first aid. As usual, the troop went through the Lemon Squeeze and playing a big game of Capture the Flag. It was a great outiing and everyone had a lot of fun!
For troop 299's March outing, we went to Zaleski State Forest for a backpacking outing. Some of us came prepared and others didn't know what to expect but overall it was a great outing and all of the scouts and parents who came had a lot of fun! Click here to see a video from our outing!
Troop 299 had the opportunity this February to go to a Columbus Blue Jackets game as a troop. We had lots of fun and got to see the cannon! Although the Jackets didn't win, it was still very fun.
For the 2016 February outing, Troop 299 went to Brandywine Ski Resort for our annual Snow Sports outing. Even though the weather was not ment for skiing and snowboarding. With it being almost 70 degrees, there was a lot of slush up on the slopes but everyone still had fun.
