Hello Troop 299,
This is just a freindly reminder about the annual May Canoe/Kayaking Outing. This outing has always been a troop favorite. It will be held at Mohican State Park near Loudonville, OH. Please be at IRUMC by 5:00 pm on May 18thfor the outing. For your saturday lunch pleasepack because we are eating on the river. Please pack appropriate clothing for the outing. There will be an attached permission slip for the outing below. |

Troop 299
Back to Basics provides an excellent oppurtunity for newer scouts to learn the basic outdoor skills and older scouts to refresh their skills.
We are having the Back to Basics outing from April 13th to April 15th at John Bryan State Park at Yellow Springs, Ohio. Please be at IRUMC by 5:00 P.M. This is a tent camping. So please make sure to plan adequate gear. The friday dinner would be on the road. So please bring extra cash for that.
We are eagerly looking forward to the participation of the newer scouts and their parents.
Please find below the attached troop permission slip for the same.
Please make sure to turn in your Troop permission slip for the outing by the April 3rd troop meeting. |

The March outing this year will be a backpacker. It wil be in Tar Hollow State Park, Laurelville, OH. The outing will be on Friday, March 9th to Sunday, March 11th. On March 9th please meet at IRUMC at 5:00pm. Please turn in the troop permission slip by Tuesday, March 6th. If you are going to attend the outiing, please attend the troop meeting on March 6th. This always has been a great outing. Don't miss it !

February's outing is skiing or snowboarding at Bradywine in Peninsula, OH, and lodge at nearby Camp Manatoc. This event has been a long time troop favorite - Don't miss it! |

Our January outing will be to the Hocking Hills for hiking and tent camping. Learn more about cold weather camping at the troop meetings leading up to this very cool event! Depart from IRUMC on Saturday January 28th 7:30am. Return Sunday mid-morning.
