The September Outing will be an exciting weekend of whitewater rafting on the Lower Youghiogheny ("Yok") River near Ohiopyle, PA, not far from Camp Conestoga  We'll be rafting in Class 2 and Class 3 whitewater.  The outfitter will be Wilderness Voyageurs and will be guide escorted. 

Depending on the number attending, scouts under the age of 12, may have a guide in their raft and scouts age 12 and older and leaders/adults will have the option to upgrade to an inflatable kayak (duckie).  You must be a BSA Red, White, and Blue Swimmer to attend this outing. Attached is the information and troop permission slip for Whitewater Rafting Outing, September 16th-18th. Please bring your fee, signed troop permission slip, and signed outfitter waiver form to the troop meeting on September 6th if you plan to attend.

D. Lee, Troop 299 Eagle Scout and City of Dublin Lifeguard Staff Member will conduct a BSA Swim Test Sunday evening, September 11, 2011 at 6:00 PM at the Dublin Community Recreation Center.  Meet in the lap pool at 6:00 PM sharp.  The test will take about 5 minutes to complete if you are prepared.  If you have not completed the First Class Swimming Requirement, successful completion of the BSA Red, White, and Blue Swim Test will meet the First Class swimming requirement.
